8/25/2023 0 Comments Co element molar mass![]() It is the weighted average of all the atoms as per the natural abundance. ![]() Since the practicality of measuring the mass of each and every atom is out of the question, we have to resort to the RAM. This is a huge number and there will be billions of atoms for each of the isotopes, according to the natural abundance. As we know, one mole of any element will have 6.02214179 x 10 23 number of atoms. Whenever we take a sample of an element, the ratio of the natural abundance is reflected in the sample. The isotopes of an element have different masses, due to the presence of the different number of neutrons. The answer lies in the natural abundance of isotopes. So, the obvious question is why do we need it at all? We can clearly see that is is numerically equal to the atomic mass. Since it is a ratio, it is unitless.įor example, let’s consider Magnesium-24. In other words, it is a mass of an atom, relative to the mass of C-12. Out of this need, the concept of Relative Atomic Mass has been born. ![]() Through various experiment, the isotope of carbon - C-12 has been found to be the most suitable standard to express the masses of all other elements (including all the isotopes). The masses of proton, neutron and electron have been determined experimentally. As a result, we need to understand the mass of an atom with respect to a standard. Is relative atomic mass the same as the mass number?Īn atom is too small and measurement of its mass by an instrument is not a practical solution for day-to-day science. Is relative atomic mass same as mass number?.Relevance of RAM and RMN in Mass spectrometry.

Throughout season one, Nalini was the type of emotionally abusive Indian parent who only ever berated her child. Nalini, in particular, undergoes a complete transformation between the two seasons. ![]() However, as the season progresses, the show thankfully moves away from making sweeping statements about Indians (that are pretty much always offensive) and focuses on developing the characters instead. As with season one’s depiction of Indian community, the writers scatter kernels of truth here and there, but they’re unexamined and not properly fleshed out: taking just one example, Nalini’s family probably would have servants - but also, so would the ostensibly middle-class Nirmala. Her visit to Chennai is similarly full of racist presentations of India: for instance, the ridiculous notion of winning favors with family through Trader Joe’s snacks and the dig about losing power don’t square with Nalini’s wealthy family. It’s an unnecessary moment, dripping with stereotypes about Indians being cheap and emotionally detached. It starts by making some of the same mistakes as its predecessor: barely two minutes into episode one, Nalini shares an instance of her “emotional exuberance” when she once hugged a stranger after hearing about a discount on a damaged printer. Season two of NHIE portrays Indian communities with much more nuance than season one, but it takes some time to get there. But while the season pulls off some incredibly touching and thoughtful stories, it continues to badly mishandle the issue of race. It’s clear that Mindy Kaling and the show’s creative team took much of the criticism about the first season to heart, re-examining and removing some of the most offensive elements and adding much-needed depth to many of the characters. ![]() Never Have I Ever has returned to Netflix with a new season, and, much to my surprise, the series improves substantially in season two.

The leatherette material has already rubbed off on both my ear cups and the original headband so that using them is not an issue anymore. Both with and without the original band worked well. Doing so seemed to either stretch it a bit, or keep it stretched slightly so keep that in mind it may sit higher/lower. Some smoothing and adjustments helped it look a bit better than in the photo. Then, using the tool shown I shoved my new band/straps through the old band trying my best to keep it from twisting or folding. Optionally, since my straps were practically unusable and the ends for it were falling off I just yanked it out breaking what was keeping it in. Adjusting would be moving the bar to another position. You can press the velcro against the fabric and it will hold to it better than what is shown in the photos. Then, just pushing it sideways and popping the other end through was easier. Scratching the fibers the end was trying to push through helped move them out of the way and allow it to finally push through with some struggle. I found pulling the nail completely in and out of the hole helped break some of the fibers and after a few minutes of fiddling allowed one of the ends to push through the new band. It's held in with some rubber/plastic that you can easily move apart to remove that piece. I then put the bar that holds the original strap with the short side and long side as shown through the hole. I started by pushing a nail in and out of the spot shown in image 1 and 2. So, I replaced it with the following Arctis 3/5 headband. My headband straps finally got stretched out to the point the bar on the top was resting on my head. 8/24/2023 0 Comments Adventures of a false hero![]() Eliot have written of the book's importance to American literature. Some modern critics argue that the book is inherently racist in its depiction of Jim and its frequent use of the term “n-.” Other critics, speaking in support of the book, point out that the terms used in the book are authentic to the story's setting they also point out that Jim is by far the most heroic character in the novel, and is the only major character to demonstrate kindness and self-sacrifice without hesitation. and then they will discover, to my great advantage and their own indignant disappointment, that there is nothing objectionable in the book after all.ĭespite Twain's assurances, the book continues to spark controversy over its subject matter even today. The book is a sequel to another of the author's successful adventure novels, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, originally published in 1876. Twain also paints a rich portrait of the slave Jim, a character unequaled in American literature: he is guileless, rebellious, genuine, superstitious, warmhearted, ignorant, and astute all at the same time. Through satire, Twain skewers the somewhat unusual definitions of “right” and “wrong” in the antebellum (pre–Civil War) South, noting among other things that the “right” thing to do when a slave runs away is to turn him in, not help him escape. He encounters a runaway slave named Jim, and the two embark on a raft journey down the Mississippi River. ![]() Mark Twain's classic The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884) is told from the point of view of Huck Finn, a barely literate teen who fakes his own death to escape his abusive, drunken father. |
